Tillman County Municipal Court Warrants
City courts in Tillman County handle ordinances and municipal traffic cases, and their warrants stay on the city's own docket. Nothing about a city bench, cost, traffic, or arrest warrant flows automatically into the District Court record. That is why the court or clerk that processed the citation is the first office to call. The Sheriff serves District Court process and runs the county jail, yet the sheriff's public page posts no municipal warrant list. So a countywide search that comes up empty cannot clear a city case. Only the issuing city court can confirm or recall its own warrant.
Tillman County Municipal Warrant Courts
Oklahoma puts municipal courts in the limited-jurisdiction tier and District Courts in the general tier. Tillman County's Court Clerk keeps the permanent District Court records. A city clerk or municipal court keeps the ordinance and city traffic files. The roles may cross in your life. They never share one record custodian per case.
| Question | Municipal court | District Court |
|---|---|---|
| Typical matter | City ordinance or traffic | State criminal felony or misdemeanor |
| First records route | Issuing city clerk or court | Tillman Court Clerk, OSCN, or ODCR |
| Serving agency | City police or authorized officer | County Sheriff or law enforcement |
| County roster | May not appear | No public warrant roster located |
Tillman County Cities With Municipal Courts
Tillman County's five largest towns each form a separate local route. The population order comes from Census TIGERweb, not from warrant volume. A bigger headcount does not mean a city runs an online portal or public docket.
| City | Municipal route | Verified public channel | Warrant access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Frederick | Municipal court and police | Police, ordinances, code | No public list located |
| Grandfield | City court-clerk function | City clerk and police pages | No public list located |
| Tipton | Current town contact needed | No current court page located | Verify locally |
| Chattanooga | Town office first | Town location page | No public portal located |
| Davidson | Current town contact needed | No current court page located | Verify locally |
Tillman County Municipal Warrant Code
Frederick offers the most detailed city code in Tillman County. Section 6-123 lays out how a sworn complaint or endorsement leads to a municipal arrest warrant directed to the police chief, with prompt execution and a presentation before municipal court. Sections 6-124 and 6-125 cover bail, bond, and traffic-citation procedure under the code's own terms. None of that sets a countywide rule. The code also creates no public online lookup and names no current payment vendor. The city police page and the ordinance archive are good starting points, though the code does not publish the municipal clerk's direct phone or counter hours. For Frederick, use the city ordinance page and ask the court to confirm current practice.
Checking a Municipal Court Warrant
Work every channel the city actually has. A warrant check can run through the court clerk, the city clerk, the police department, a formal city records request, or a Sheriff contact for routing. A municipal case may not appear in ODCR. Tillman County has no verified city warrant portal that combines them all.
- Read the citation for the city, court, case number, and hearing date.
- Call the issuing city court or clerk and ask whether it holds the citation, warrant, recall, bond, or payment record.
- Ask the police department only for the role it actually handles, such as service or non-emergency routing.
- Use OSCN or ODCR for a District Court case, not as proof about every city ticket.
- Call the Sheriff for county service or booking instructions, then ask an attorney about resolution.
Keep the request limited to your own authorized information or institutional records.
Tillman County Municipal Warrant Clerks
Grandfield's official materials name Kayla Wood as City Clerk/Treasurer and Tammy Tucker as Utility Clerk/Court Clerk. The police page lists Daniel Rodriguez as chief and gives a city contact. No municipal warrant list, online payment route, cost-warrant form, or docket search appears on those pages. For a Grandfield citation, start with the named court-clerk route. Ask which office holds the citation, the court date, the warrant, and any recall, payment, or bond record. The non-emergency police number can help with routing. It is not a warrant-status line. Use the Grandfield clerk page, and confirm it is available before you travel.
Inside a Municipal Court Warrant
A city record may carry a citation or local cause number rather than a District Court number. The blank inventory lists the fields a clerk may walk through when explaining a record. It reproduces no private person's document.
| City and court | Issuing municipality, court name, and clerk or judge. |
|---|---|
| Citation number | Local identifier, such as MC-YYYY-NNNN when the court uses that pattern. |
| Warrant label | Municipal arrest, bench, cost, or traffic process. |
| Trigger | Citation, ordinance case, missed date, nonpayment, or court-order issue. |
| Bond or amount | Fine, costs, bond, conditions, or payment record when public. |
| Recall and status | Issued, served, returned, recalled, quashed, paid, or next setting. |
Tillman County Municipal Warrant Gaps
Tipton, Chattanooga, and Davidson show why a municipal page must separate what is verified from what is missing. Tipton has an official population and map record but posts no current municipal court or police warrant page. Chattanooga has a verified town office at 302 Third Street and a professional police-directory entry, yet no municipal warrant portal. Davidson offers no reliable current municipal web route at all. Call the town office when one is verified. Never substitute a similarly named out-of-state page, an old directory, or a commercial roster. The Tillman County Sheriff can give general routing. It cannot give a city court's answer.
How to Resolve a Municipal Warrant
Ask the issuing city court what the case needs: payment, a new appearance, bond, a recall motion, or another step. Frederick's code describes its own bail and traffic procedures. It sets nothing for Grandfield, Tipton, Chattanooga, or Davidson. A Tillman County District Court clerk cannot recall a city warrant.
Confirm before paying. Tillman County cities publish no verified fees, accepted payment methods, counter hours, after-hours instructions, or walk-in clearance program, so ask the clerk first.
Ask for the case or citation number, the current amount or conditions, the next setting, and written proof of any status change in Tillman County. "Paid" and "recalled" can be separate docket events.
Tillman County Municipal Warrant Requests
Under the Oklahoma Open Records Act, direct your request to the correct city custodian. Ask for public institutional records, a date range, update information, fees, and redaction grounds. Skip juvenile, sealed, confidential, or full personal-identifier material. The Tillman County court's protected-materials rule can limit public access to warrant and traffic documents.
Useful sources: 51 O.S. §24A.5 covers the general public-records rule, while Oklahoma protected-materials rules explain why some fields are withheld or redacted.
None of the five Tillman County cities posts an official online request form or local warrant fee schedule. Ask the clerk how to submit a request, and whether inspection comes before copies.
